Last year I tried to promise a new song performance video every Wednesday. In retrospect, that was a little ambitious. The idea being it would motivate me to record more and more interesting covers or perform originals in progress. And while very few people would be watching at first, it would give me a chance to get better at filming and figuring out a format.
As it turns out, I’ve got a lot going on musically. Bigfellas are recording two albums and my other band The Water Spots is playing a lot and getting things done. All of that on top of a demanding day job and some other volunteering, putting out videos EVERY week was an unnecessary promise.
That said, I don’t want to stop doing it entirely. So here’s me playing MGMT’s "Time To Pretend".
It’s been a fun one to play live when I’ve done it with Michael Tiernan at En Fuego. By the way, if you’re reading this live on Feb 28, 2024 and you live in San Diego, we’ll be playing there tonight, 6:30-9:30pm.
